Handweaving craft

In a fast-paced world, where everything is incredibly immediate yet sadly transient, we (re)discovered the luxury of slowness, the strength behind tradition, and the reassuring harmony of nature.

Elephant grass

The journey to find out about the handweaving craft starts from this sub-Saharan plant, incredibly strong and versatile.

After being harvested, the best strands are carefully selected; each strand is then vertically split into halves. The straws are then manually intertwined.

The creative process

It is possible to dye the straws using the most vivid of colors, or they can keep their natural shade.

Depending on the desired pattern and weave, our skilled artisans begin the weaving, starting from the bottom to the top.

The handles, when needed, are then finally added; they are often covered in real leather, to make the grip more comfortable and to add that elegant finish.
